Fee-based loan extension service

1. What is the Loan Extension service?
It is a service provided by Yuanta Securities Vietnam (YSVN) to assist customers who wish to extend their loans when they reach the principal repayment deadline.
2. What is the maximum duration for a loan?
The maximum loan term is 360 days. From the 361st day onwards, the loan must be settled by selling securities or depositing cash into the account.
3. How can I repay loans that are approaching the 360-day limit?
You can fulfill your repayment through one of the following methods:
– Depositing funds into your Margin Trading Account.
– Selling securities within your Margin Trading Account.
4. How many times can a loan be extended?
Each loan can be extended a maximum of 03 times.
5. Does an extended loan incur both an extension fee and extension interest?
No. An extended loan is subject to only one of the two: Extension Fee: Applicable if you manually register for an extension.
Extension Interest: Applicable if you do not register and the system extends the loan automatically.
6. Is it mandatory to manually request an extension for my loan contracts?
No, it is not mandatory. If you do not perform a paid extension, YSVN will automatically extend the loan, and the interest rate will be adjusted accordingly.
7. What is YSVN’s extension fee?
Standard Extension Fee: 0.5% * Remaining outstanding balance of the extended loan at the end of the due date.
This fee is collected from your Margin Trading Account and is subject to change periodically as per YSVN’s announcements.
8. What are the interest rates for extended loans?
For loan terms from 91 – 180 days: 100% * In-term interest rate.
For loan terms from 181 – 360 days: 120% * In-term interest rate.

9. When is the extension fee recorded?
YSVN will record the transaction on the first working day of the following month in which the extension occurred.
10. How do I pay the loan extension fee?
YSVN will automatically deduct the fee from your Margin Trading Account on the first working day of the following month.
11. What happens if I do not have enough cash in my Margin Account to pay the fee?
If there are insufficient funds, the extension fee will be collected and converted into a new debt disbursement on the first working day of the next month.
12. How do I know if my extension request was successful?
– Immediately after clicking “Confirm,” a success notification will appear on your screen.
– At the end of the day, the system will send an Email and App Notification confirming that your request has been processed.
13. Can I settle my loan before the new maturity date after extending?
Yes. You can settle the loan at any time by depositing cash or selling securities.
14. Will the loan extend automatically?
Yes. If you do not manually register, the system will automatically extend the loan and apply the corresponding interest rate.
15. Does the interest rate increase after a successful manual extension?
No. Since you have paid an extension fee, the interest rate will remain the same as the initial in-term rate.
16. Can I cancel a loan extension request?
Yes. You can choose to cancel the extension for one or multiple loans that are eligible for cancellation.
17. What are the conditions to cancel an extension?
– The extension must have been initiated by the Customer; AND
– The extension has not yet taken effect (i.e., the start date of the extension period must be later than the current date).
18. Which is more beneficial: Paying the extension fee or opting for YSVN’s automatic extension interest rate?
The extension interest rate (automatic extension) is generally more beneficial if your account is currently participating in special interest rate promotion programs.
